Faded Into Remorse
And when hope was lost
Despair took the spotlight
playing to an audience who couldn't look away
And we danced to songs
of the lonely and unseen
I wish I could hold onto you
with hands
chipped by time and toil,
life like a Cheshire cat was
grinning as it faded into remorse
Love was the only thing
worth dying for
but instead was the cause
