Faces
A face
And another
Staring at each other
One sees the other
As a warped version
Of themself
They don’t see themself
In the face across
The other sees the first
As the wrong person
And rejects them and
Makes them suffer
The first is sad
And the other is happy,
The first is hurting
And the other is peaceful,
The first is inside
While the other is outside
The other is seen
While the first is not
The world sees the other
And so does the first
But nobody sees the first,
Not even the first
