Extortion
Sometimes I am overwhelmed with the overall mass empty mindedness.
We lack care for our natural consciousness.
Too many likes and shares on ishh that don’t mean ishh
And it’s sad that people don’t even get it.
I admit-- I was once there too
Posting details about every little thing I do
Creating these imaginary lines; lies about my life
All the while I deny
My truths nothing new it was merely taught to you
In order to allude and distort you
You see too many people are asleep marching
To the rhythm of some else’s drum beat
Walking the earth
In confusion because
What they created is an illusion
People selfishly judging one another and
Deny keeping thy brother
So many looking for validity outside
Like a invisibility cloak in which they can hide
202 likes on a selfie is not selfish
But vanity and it takes 202
Likes to prove your insanity
You are neither your selfie nor your skin
To find yourself, look not out but within.
You can’t possibly believe you are what they tell you to be?
When naturally your dreams resonate further than your eyes can see
You are energy.
You are not a profile, a status or comment
You are a person, a soul, a comet
We are literally freaking stars
Full of gas and ishh
We are the light that God himself lit
Plot twist: people already figured that out
So they created a system to fill our heads with lies
And kill us with doubt
As the Egyptians walked in their
Gold plated jewel dripping stride
They were basking in the power we are forced to hide
Now I understand I am all over the place
Talking about Facebook, Egyptians and Outer space
Talking all this chaos without any pace
But I have waited long enough,
I want them give our power back to us!
Better yet I want us to rise
We will take our power back
By realizing the lies
Open your eyes--reconnect your soul
Give them no more power over your goals
Dream as though you will never grow old
Color life with your glow
Smile in the face of fear
And know what you feel is far is actually near
Seek what need
And believe you have already received
Bless those you love and love all
And when your higher self rings in, don’t miss the call
Live in the moment, let go of the past
Leave the future in the future
And let no stone be cast.
Treat others how you want to be treated
But do not allow thy self to be defeated!
Forgive, love and accept
Let go, live on-no regret.
Recall the inner King and Queen that you are!
and make a wish on yourself,
You are A shooting star!
