Experimental emotional outpourings

I feel like I'm trying to lick a stone Let's not say Easter Island - nothing weird Not even Stone Henge Non descript standing stones... faux history There's not a lot to be gained Particularly as I'm not really there The questions are there If you can't picture them - here's a clue: "Why are you imagining licking a stone" I'm not responding - it's probably called emotion blocking I could curl up in a little ball At the foot of this imaginary place Sleep a restless sleep Probably eat dirt for breakfast (imaginary - again, nothing weird) Because I'd rather say all of the above Than say out loud how I feel right now

It sounds like the unlimited methods of travel. I'm glad you didn't eat dirt. A good poem.

It's certainly different - I went out with friends instead of imagining licking stones tonight x

I agree...sometimes we'll do most anything to keep from telling how we feel, even in poetry. Sometimes I feel that way...hard to explain. Occasionally, I just need to block things out :-) smiles, Sara

Bit of a strange one - I'll re-evaluate this one tomorrow I think. Thanks for your kind words x
