Every Moment With You

Your eyes hold my gaze and I let the fire wash over me We’re caught up in the moment and I could let it last forever Something as simple as watching TV becomes meaningful Because I’m leaning against your chest and you’ve got your arms around me We’ve created a safe place I love the way you answer the phone The first time you thought to bring me an extra sweatshirt Put a lump in my throat I catch you by surprise and you laugh out loud, uninhibited I’ll replay that moment in my head a thousand times over the next two weeks Your brother asked you told hold his wedding ring for him while he went skiing once You slipped the ring on your finger, not knowing I was watching I liked how it looked I like the way you make people feel heard And when you put your hand on my knee when we’re in the car I’m always scared for the moment it’s going to end I relish every moment with you
