Evergreen Wishes
Evergreen wishes
If only I could feel your kiss,
flowing on winter breezes
gently against my parched lips
warm of summer’s promised heat
but soothed by an
autumn dream
Tenderly upon my mouth
desperately aching with desire
as far away emotions call your name
between each falling leaf
cascading effortlessly
to the ground
Inhaling the enchanting scent
whispering on the wind, I taste
love, drenching me in hope
of evergreen wishes and
plaid scarf tickles
as seasons change
And I wait, drifting with the air,
the alluring joy that is your heart,
flowing from the north
touching me with the
soft filtered longings
of your lips, on mine
