Even So
Perhaps memories are mere drops dripping from life
that splash upon impoverished floors hidden in the mind
swept away by shadows sweeping through lonely nights
leaving nothing but streetlamp dreams and unfulfilled wishes
that may have been real in a twilight realm of another time
even so, your memory burns like an eternal flame lit long ago
