Today is Thursday 24 November in Canada, and Friday 25 November 2016 in Singapore. I woke up at 3:45am. About 4:23am till 6:05am, I sat down in stillness with a mind that came to me to flesh out words for 10 sonnets connected to the thoughts of dying, death and final release from the cares of mortal flesh. I was talking on Facebook Messenger with an old friend who witness her mother dying in a matter of a few hours after talking to her. The old lady had been ill for quite some months now.

This good friend of mine was at her mother's bedside for the last time. She lives in Singapore, and took a sky trip to Vancouver, Canada as her mother clung on to dear life just to see her and say "Goodbye" in her final twilight. The grand old lady was in her nineties of frail health and bordering between two worlds. These sonnets are my feelings about life and death, and the departure into the light. Hope all you who come across this series of song offerings gain faith, hope and love to live the best version of you. Blessings to you on your life path.

Etch a sweet sketch when sad brings grief, Urge a fond poise of thoughts that light; Live a wise match as cheer funds brief, Opt lovely choice to meet love's flight; Glimpse the magic of life well-lived, Yes to feelings that shape the way. Feel most vivid how loved ones give, Outlive dying with love that stays; Reach for fine thoughts of joy that sum. Death has no sting for homebound soul, Echo old plots as visuals come; Apt such mood swings in broken whole. Touch holds dear heart with mind at peace, Hurts craft deep art when love binds ease.
