Essence of a Never-Lasting Reality
2011
I reflect upon a past that never existed
A plastic life that you never permitted
You and I in a meadow so green
Lost in a sugar-coated dream
Your mesmerizing smile takes my breath away
Your heart beats with me, here to stay
For a temporary or a forever bond
It doesn't even matter, for time has gone
Long ago, it died with all logic and reason
No room for order, too complex for seasons
I cannot conceal anymore
I cannot refrain anymore
I was never articulate with words
My rhymes may seem absurd
And though you may not think it's true
I'll just say it . . .
I love you, love you
But you're a DREAM, a false past!
Just like reality, our love will never last
Never last
For it NEVER came to pass
Never last, NEVER LAST
NOT TRUE, never true
But still . . . I love you
I do.
