Escaping the World
I lay my back upon the earthen ground
To sigh with serenity, to become unwound
I'll seek the sounds which have no words
The creaking limbs, the soft murmur of birds
I'll listen to the breeze whisper through trees
Every breath I breathe, every sign of ease
I'll free my spirit from the world's control
Never utter a sound, nor will my soul
From such wondrous wonder which overwhelm
I'll gasp in awe, at this glorious realm
