If I could shapeshift and select my life,
I'd morph into a majestic eagle.
And cut a path through the air like a knife,
riding rising thermals, free and regal.
At sunrise, I'd leave my worries behind,
flex feathered wings, and launch into the air.
And relish every moment unconfined,
free from gravity; I'd no longer care.
Escaping reality would be bliss,
untethered; I would finally feel free.
And bask within a sanguine sun's warm kiss,
where humanity's rules wouldn't affect me.
I wish that I could transform for real;
imagine how wonderful flight must feel!
