Escape

Get me gone, get me golden In a car, shrieking two emotions mixed as one; Relief and excitement. In a car, reaching high speeds, Higher than permitted. Permission sunk like a ship Or rather dried up- Like a raisin in the sun But not my dreams. Those are still green grapes. Or maybe they’re red. Color aside – they’re cold and they’re free.
