~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am between breaths
and the blink of an eye.
I am the thought
that quickly enters
then suddenly dies.
I am the stillness
between melodies,
only heard in brevities;
a harmonious song
that’s already gone.
I am the wind
that rustles through the trees
carrying away memories
like autumn leaves.
I am the raindrop
that tumbles from the sky
drowning sorrows
as it falls with a cry.
I am the lightning
that illuminates space
a brilliant flash
that fades with grace.
I am the equinox
of summer and
the solstice of winter.
I am here, then I am gone
a fleeting presence
of nature’s song.
