Envy
I wake
I am greeted
by legs, many legs
working in unison like
no legs in my life
a moving forward to
unknown places
in search of the unknown
no stepping on
the other foot
never a cross word
between those feet
a creature like I
a gift from God–but
much, much more at peace
welcome oh lucky one
please stay if you like
upon our wall for
as-long-as you like
and maybe we
could learn from you
