Nice poem Sara, I guess the paradox is common experience, roots, and love, with unique individuals and stances. It seems like a lot of poems, like yours here, remind me of the common experience that all of us on earth have - a comforting feeling, that makes me feel part of everything.

Hi Sara, Enjoyed this very much.Reminds me that there is a duality in family ties—roots that run deep, connecting and supporting each member, but also highlighting the tension and silence that can drive family members apart. It reflects the enduring love that holds families together, even as misunderstandings and unspoken differences create rifts, leading to the paradox of connection and separation within a family tree. Cheers, Don

thank you, Don, for dropping by. I appreciate the depth and insight in your comments. Funny how resilience can be a positive but resilience can become stubbornness; it's that stubbornness that creates the rifts and the paradox. Thanks for sharing. I'm grateful for you and your visits. Have a splendid evening, Sara

Dear Sara, I have seen firsthand the misery that may result from letting disputes simmer and grow, so I can relate to your devotion and love of blood. found it entertaining. My best wishes for the contest.

thanks for visiting, dear Sotto. I'm glad you found my poem spot on in that some families are highly dysfunctional and hostilities abound...it's unfortunate. Thanks for your well wishes for the contest. Have a pleasant evening, your poetess friend in Texas, Sara

Family love should run as deep as the roots of a tree. Sara, I admire your loyalty and love of family, and have witnessed the sadness caused by misunderstandings that are allowed to linger and fester. Pitiable, that scenario.

thanks for dropping by, Lin, and for your kind words about my loyalty and love of family. I, too, have witnessed sadness caused by misunderstandings that linger. My husband's family has some of those qualities. It is sad. Wishing you a pleasant evening, hugs, Sara
