The Dark History of New Year's Day in American Slavery | Time

You hate me because of the color of my skin You loath me so when will The Strife disappear He wished me enslaved, this is how you behave Some 300 years ago we were a tool an animal Cannot articulate the hate Never understood nor understand definition of a man Disparity never understood masses Taken from their natural country Of his birth have no elf worth Kidnap bartered and enslaved my ancestors were Kept captured raved Slaves
