Enigma - contest
I'm a conundrum. Or an enigma. I forget which - James A Owens
Take the fog
It feels it knows you
You walk headlong into it
Intermingle, but non the wiser
Despite the dampness on your skin
Zephyrs, sweet, warm zephers
Reminisce, aching reminisce
Brushes past
Leaves you longing
Distracted
Riddles, frisson
Sparks fly in brains
Yet...
All sensations stop
We must be sensible
Bathed in moonlight
Oh so lonesome
Hearts across galaxies
Surely sensing
Each. Other
Opposite directions
Heading elsewhere
Forgetting days
Nights obscured
Lights flash on and off
I've not figured it out
That moment of knowing
Stilled. Instant. Then lost
Deciphered code
Always just out of reach
