As we shifted to newly built house
my five year old daughter discovered
bird 's nest at a corner under porch.
Kid was too excited, me also.
Mother bird was roosting to hatch her eggs.
She named the room just above the porch
as bird's room and arranged her all toys beside window.
At every dawn break our first urge was to look at the nest.
One day we noticed a pair of nestlings with closed eyes.
My daughter was too eager to accept those as pets.
The nestlings were growing up .
We were delighted to listen the sweet tweets of the birdies.
Oneday we noticed the abandoned nest : All flew away.
My daughter cried and didn't allow to remove the empty nest.
Days passed by : My daughter finished her school.
She left for higher study.
I'm wandering in the bird's room to sigh
looking at the empty nest till survived ridiculing me.
