Empty
`
I feel empty,
drained of emotion,
standing in this lonely field,
a desolate silhouette
of stoic expression
dreaming of yesterdays
while tomorrows wait somewhere
beyond the silent horizon
where questions lie
I have no answers for
When I see it rising
slowly in the east
as darkness finds me
like a long lost friend
and as it crests the tree line
I realize…
at least the moon is almost full
