Beaming through the emerald forest The bright rays lightly touch the ground Looking for a peaceful place to rest, Near the pond is where I have found Light casts upon my burdens now I've carried for far too long Lifting them upward somehow To help me forget what is wrong All is silent, confusion replaced with ease The blooming flower is my friend, nearby Beneath the safe cover of shaded trees Where I am rescued, in light from the sky Heidi Sands 5/16/19

Yes, nature rescues us from mankind's falsehoods, reminds us who we really are. I have always felt that and so I love this poem, felt it, embraced it and might even applaud. Lovely, touching and so easy to relate to in every way. All the best ... CayCay

This is so appealing to me - I love the symbolism of protection, and I just naturally love trees and nature poems.
