In the village churchyard she lies, Dust in her beautiful eyes, No more she breathes, nor feels, nor stirs." Longfellow- In The Churchyard at Cambridge, Verse 1 _______________________ + I visit with roses and tears, kneeling upon the grass in prayers; her grave in the shade of a hill. Her fate was written and God's will ! I remember mother with love, in my heart, though she dwells above; I love her and hold her close still. Her fate was written and God's will ! I cannot see her face, or smile, nor can mother's sweet voice beguile; there was no hope for she was ill. Her fate was written and God's will ! ________________________ November 27, 2019 Poetry/Kyrielle/Elegy Copyright Protected, ID 19-1203-625-02 All Rights Reserved. Written under Pseudonym.
