Ekphrasis on, The Spinners (Las Hilanderas) artist, Diego Velazquez colors, fabric missing painter's glaze spun within moonbeam's glow threads entangled in beautiful gaze majestic, with heart-sought truth in tow by mortal flesh and heart-sights thus sewn born- sky, water and land expressions, vanity's undertones imagination, from spinning hands from earth, cascading heavenly clouds windows - life's wondrous stage Turin, mystery and famous shroud digital world, techno all the rage wondrous explosion, breathtaking scenes hope, mankind's fleeing race dark's blight, Gods births, depths obscene humanity searching - divine grace spirals of color, artistic flair three spinners- flowing skies imagination, beyond compare artists, weavers and spirited eyes. Thank you my friend. The poem was primarily imagery driven. And based upon the truly magnificent famous painting that was cited. I am so glad that four poets have seen, read and thought to comment ion this creation. Poetic integrity counts for everything with me. So does, not playing games in regards to that principle.. Truth is, Velazquez has a great many other famous paintings using to magnificent effect color/ imagery and his great genius as an artist. Paintings that can easily stir the poet to deeper imagery and colors in verse.. God bless..

And blessed that when I asked permission to cite that poem's inspiration -she very graciously agreed to allow me to do so. Her magnificent poem, "Ekphrasis on House of Parliament At Sunset", was an inspirational gift that was as well a great pleasure to read that morn. God bless....

You did a brilliant Ekphrasis sir Robert. I have googled such great painting and your poem perfectly gives justice to it and it made me look at it on a high sphere and different dimension. Very exceptional!! Bravo!!

Thank you my friend. When inspiration comes, sometimes it gifts a greater insight and a smoother more eloquent pen. All the best verses came from my muse, imho.
