At the moment, I am struggling to cope with the fact that my closest friend in the world passed away some time during the night of May 1, 2016. I have known Eileen since March of 2003. I have shared countless cherished experiences with her for the past thirteen years. I am presently so overcome with grief that I cannot express myself any further. RP

Robert, I am sorry to hear you have lost your friend. Though you have not mentioned her age, it sounds as if she passed away well before her time. It is one thing to lose someone who is over 80, but it is so different to lose someone who is under 60, especially a soul sister... my heart goes out to you. As soon as you can, bring out her letters and cards and notes. They will hurt to read, but they will also comfort! Your bond was real. The pain is no less real. It will take time...

Oh....I'm so so sad to read this, Robert. There are no words at such a time that could possibly bring you any comfort. Please...take it one day at a time...only one day at a time. You will always have the memories and can relive them time and again to ease the pain. May God comfort your heart.
