Eden's Gate
Naked I approach the gate of Eden
looking east I see the tree of life
Tall and heavy with succulent fruit
her branches bowing low
Dare I open the gate
and walk upon the garden's ground
Cherubim with swords of flame
shake their mighty blades
The force of their wind strikes me down
and I am rolled away...
Am I from the seed of Cain
cursed upon an cursed earth
Awaken into a dream
falling towards heavens
Cold is my skin
but hot to the touch
Boil my blood till my soul evaporates and blends within the cosmos
Choas is planned
all in all is all
Shake the gate of Eden
shake until it breaks
and Eden spills onto a damned earth
washing away sin is it overflows
Pure doves of black and white
flutter into the sky
Layers upon layers of time churn
as butterfly shape angels giggle
dropping seeds of the Life's Tree
from the beginning to the end of the world
Why is life given
Why is life taken
one bite of her flesh and we are eternal
Swallow hard and bestow
Eden into our hearts
within our blood
clutched by raw fist
that dare to grasp eternity
Innocence regained
with the taste of evil upon our lips
Born into sin but cleansed by the Life tree
From being godlike to becoming a god
eternity is the first step through
Eden's gate.
