Listen to poem:
Wireless switched off memories flooding the airways hand on a worried shoulder "we prepared for this". Sentimental possessions letters for the beyond "leave the keys" crowded streets, face the madness holding hands reaching lush greens soil under toe wheat between the fingers there's our destination no turning back retracing steps decisions made, regretful mistakes the girl I never kissed, opportunities missed A lost boy that never found his place gentle smiles and kind-hearted touches our family tree imprinted were they proud of me? Fear of reflection joined by anxious faces and yet beginning to feel content A little late than never our neighbors came together We have the perfect view feet firmly planted tears shouting out "Why" and "What a waste." Am I ready to meet my maker? Hey I know "Good riddance" I say questions never answered Pushing boulders up hill ever since it started ... A fitting end Painless with hidden messages
