Echoes
In the midst of chaos,
Their voices cried out,
But their words fell silent,
And no one heard their shout.
The rain fell like tears,
Their hearts filled with dread,
And they stood in darkness,
With their souls so red.
The night was so long,
Their hope seemed so far,
They cried out in anguish,
But no help came from afar.
