Early Spring Dawning
Imagine this, a magnificent early spring dawning
Dusty rays of golden sunshine glancing through my window,
Wakening to discover the natural world yawning
Imagine this.
I rise to glorious expectations out of limbo
With the entire day lying ahead, before me spawning
promising unknown joys, perhaps, an afternoon rainbow.
Before the splendor of it all, I find myself fawning
Ah, thoughts of being alive my emotions overflow,
Welcoming a magnificent early spring day's dawning.
Imagine this.
