"Grief and heartache are like ocean waves, at times
calm, and at times the waves are crashing and roaring."
Quote by _ Constance
I found writing at an early age,
as depth of soul has always been mine;
my memories flow into words,
to create deep poetry and a release.
I drift and float searching my past,
and my pen pours out my sorrow;
letting go of hurt and the pain drifts,
I lay each weeping word bare.
My pen bleeding onto white paper,
my poems are full of tears and grief;
I have laid open this heart for all to see,
and the story of my life is sad.
Faces gone float in my thoughts,
oh, the tomb is wet, so dark, so cold;
with names engraved for all eternity,
the wind blows the trembling trees.
Often, my thoughts take me past the ornate gate,
and down a long winding road;
to stand in a place of sorrow again and again,
weeping as the wind tangles my hair.
