Dusk Ends the Day
I watch as late afternoon begins the decay
Fading into shadows, dusk ends the day
Sky lightens into the palest of blues
Drifts to mauves and shell pink hues
The bush sinks heavily in its cloak of green
Mysteriously deep, dark and serene
Stillness in a thick tangibly silent wall
No sound, no wind, there's nothing at all
An awareness of Earth as day is done
We rest quietly together, and we are One
When life is delicately poised like this.....
My heart overflows with great joy and bliss
