Drying winds, partly cloudy sky No rain coming, here the earth cracks Hurricane floods in places why? Drying winds, partly cloudy sky Clouds are a farce, only amplify Needed moisture, which we now lack Drying winds, partly cloudy sky No rain coming, here the earth cracks

Sara, a most inspired and talented pen you hold. Here is the affecting truth of your ecological environment. I am quite moved. Triolet form is also new to me and you’ve presented quite a model. xoxo have a good day!

Hi Sara: Wonderful and realistic description of how the sky mocks, promising rain when everywhere is dry. Saw it many times when I lived in Australia.

Such a beautiful Triolet poem dear Sara... Here in India, it's humid as of now, all rain gone in our place and October November will be a bit hot and sultry... Love and respect... ~ Ani

Anitha, I feel for you if it is hot and humid. The humidity is always rough here in the south in the summer months. Sorry you are dry as well. I appreciate the visit to my page. Sara

Your poem points a gentle finger at the sky to say Why? Why do you mock us? And I don't blame you one bit. May the Heavens hear your plea and pour forth their liquid treasure!!

Gershon, Well, I did not mean it to mock the sky or God. We do get dry here in the fall sometimes then the winter rains begin. We are in need of rain and the weatherman is predicting no rain in sight for another week after this one. I feel for those in Florida who got so much rain at once. Thanks for the visit. Sara

It cracks here, too; sprinkles now and then as forests burn. Your poem tells the sad tale well.

Great form, Sara, it has truly been dry, but I sure doesn't want it to flood.. Last flood it was an inch into coming into my home... that was scary. Blessings friend

Thank you for the blessings because I need them. I am sorry your home was so close to flooding. Once a very long time ago, when a hurricane came toward us then turned into a tropical depression there was flooding in our area the year was 1994. It did some damage for us to have to repair. We were not so happy about that. I can't imagine what it is like for those hit by the hurricane. Thanks for dropping by. Sara

You aptly describe the tug and pull…one is flooded…in another part of the earth, rain is desperately needed. The right amount heaven will bring…so for now we wait.

Harry, we still haven't had any rain in our area, but I know it will come in God's right timing. I am glad we don't have crops that need it at this time. Your visits are always uplifting. Sara

Victor, I like the way you think. We are needing rain in where I live but so many are suffering from flooding from Ian that I don't like to complain. Your visits are always uplifting. Sara

Excellent use of the triolet, Sara. I didn't have the opportunity to practice this form very often, but I found today's reading to be really enjoyable. Many thanks for sharing this.
