Dripping Words
shattered and tattered are my wings
and forlorn is my trembling bleeding soul
I am crushed and humbled and torn apart
for life has left me weeping and lost
have followed the thread of my life
and each fragile treasure found is precious
and twining through the chapters of my journey
every sadness is a poem to be written
the thread leads me down a winding road
to names engraved in stone for all eternity
but, fear not for my soul dear friends
for each sadness has given my soul a voice
for the pain to drip from my pen
oh, listen to my dripping, dripping words
