Dreaming Dreams

There’s so many ways to dream; Dreams are messengers that deliver every time. Nightmares of chili and nuts scheme to destroy dreams, more refined. In dreamtime we all can learn, It’s a classroom where we’re taught By our souls; the teachers spurned by our careless conscious thoughts. So when you’re in the classroom; Taking all your notes; Remember success can bloom, if time you’ll devote. Follow dream advice and you won’t go wrong; it’s message is from God your soul-song.

There has to be a reason we know the answer to questions when we wake up. And immediately, and always. The soul always knows; follow the soul, and where do we find her at her most vulnerable, and most talkative? Bingo!

M.L., I have done much research into dreams and they do indeed seem like messenger. To remember them, some keep dream diaries. Native Americans created "dream catchers" so good dreams would not escape. Truly, dreams seem like classroom learning opportunities, thought psychologists say they reflect thoughts of the previous day. You have a great poem here and I like this different use of the sonnet form. Best wishes, Carolyn

Wow, thanks so much, Carolyn. I've journaled and interpreted my own dreams since I was about 17. I also love using them in poetry and short stories. Happy New Year to you.
