Dream Land

I step onto the sidewalk, life is growing, here, and there. I tip my hat towards the sun, that's sprinkled sunshine, everywhere. I place my glasses on my face, and walk a walk I've walked before. Memories flood into my head, of someone who I once adored. I think of him, my love; sweet love. I take a step into dream-land. I think of when we first had kissed, I think of when he held my hand. I remember how he turned away, because his love was much too slight. So then my memories fade away, and my pretty sunshine turns to night...

I have always been bad about stepping out into dreamland. So, hard to get things done. Thanks for you so nice, recent comments. Charles

This is sad and sweet at the same time. I am sorry about the loss of love. Thank you for your comment on my poem "Ballet". Love, Joyce
