Dream Chaser

Dreams I chase, frustration! Obscurities. Disappointment looms, your presence has no room, it’s cluttered, hoarded regrets. Reverie, like you, escapes grasp, like trying to hold sand in my hands. My dreams slipping through can never come true. Susan Ashley July 18, 2017 (June 26, 2017)

Susan, we poets are by nature dreamers, chasing visions of beauty, truth, romance, peace, healthy relationships, the end of pandemics... I hope the dream that evaded you has been replaced by others that found their way into your grasp. Hugs/John

Yes, my dear friend, there is such valuable truth in your beautiful comments. We poets, just love to dream and muse, and see things for what they are, or better yet, see things for what they can be.. an imaginative heart is free to embrace and express what has been experienced and, what is yet to be experienced, even if it's only in one's hopes and imagination.. I relish your insightful musings, John. Fortunately, my dreams have found me and I've wrapped my arms around them. I hope the same for you, as well. Warmest wishes always.. ~Susan

Hi Susan, I am definitely a Dream Chaser. My dreams are my life. To have the dream is what matters to me. If it comes true, if yes, that is just an added bonus. Your words have such strong meaning. I always find that sometimes dreams come true but not in the way we expect. This is another wonderful, honest write from your pen. Have a w Friday. Hugs....Mike. XX. It is always a joy to rwad tour words Jan.

My dear friend, my apologies for my late reply.. I haven't had much time here lately.. I appreciate your time spent with one of my older poems, and indeed, you are a dream chaser, like me, Mike.. dreams are a driving force, and yes, to have the dream, to strive in joy, is the ultimate experience. Dreams do come true in their own ways..Thank you for your beautiful thoughts, my wonderful friend. Warmest wishes always.. ~Susan

Probably most of us are dream chasers. Dreams & hopes have a big say on our lives, but many of them evaporate into thin air. Do we expect too much? You describe disappointment and frustration very well, Susan. It was a pleasure reading this meaningful poem. ~ Warm regards // paul

Paul, our hopes and dreams keep us reaching further, for the stars, for inspiration to reach our goals, and yes, sometimes dreams don't come true.. but hope is the lifeblood of our dreams and when dreams do come true - it's magical - but would we feel the magic if all our dreams came true? Thank you for your beautiful comments, you delight me. Warmest wishes dear friend ~Susan
