Dream : Contest
The town of Zareba showed in a haze of heat
I staggered to its gates asking for shelter
Powerful gates guarded by a monolith of King Kushta
They took me to a cool cave and gave me water
looking at this hovel I realised how rich I was
rich in thought, in life, in belongings
How admirable were the poor people here
the bounty of their love showed like a transparent film
open arms welcoming all, offering kindness.
I awoke to a feeling of contentment
I had experienced the simplicity of life
Learning the lesson that fulfilment
doesn’t cost money, just love and understanding.
