The form is more or less a sextilla, only the number of feet/syllables aren't exactly right.

I am adding some of my older poems to Soup, now my muse is still asleep.

My little one let's go now It's time, take your bear Call the others, there's snow outside. Make sure you wear the coat I gave you? You know where we go to? Down there is the forest Hold your bear real close From there we go west To the village I chose Follow that road there It leads you everywhere But back to this place My sweet boy, my dragon Haunts me, for me it's a race Only when he is gone Can I be really free Can you be with me My little one, go now The dragon on my neck Makes me far too slow, He holds me back Whatever you do Remember I love you Your bear will protect you Pretend he is me Pretend I'm behind you I'll always be No dragon can keep me From you, Don't you see? You live in my heart little boy, My brother, my friend You gave me so much joy Your laughter did mend My brokenness to almost whole You'll live forever in my soul. *** August 13, 2016 Copyright © Darren White

Oh Darren you do so know how to bring out the Inner Child. What's there not to love about all of this, the music, the words in your poem and of course the wonderful violin Bravo, and adding it to my Favs Brilliant A 7++

There is no end to your talent, old or new, you always amaze me my friend. This was beautiful and touching and a wonderful story of love and fear and compassion. Nicely done Darren.

Thank you :) It's one of my "Little One" poems. I wrote more before this one, and will probably write more about him later. Until I will be able to see him again, the longing inside must find a way out.
