Doves Upon the Line
Bobbing heads bowing gently to one side
As bending their ears to hear from inside
What God has to say within the bosom
Cooing report from wire today news hums
Peaceful unless provoked mates to be
Note it is not good to corner the meek
Fluttering over the young new nest built
Squabs look up fed upon mother's crop milk
Both parents caring swiftly devoted
As loving woo's from within dovecote hid
One flock of ascending songs of martyrs
Rising sounds of sacred white's rushing waters
Drowning out the ungrateful worldly ire
Silver wings strumming a sweet smelling fire
Friends for life rest above two by two twine
Come home my love's a message from the line
