Doubt

How the seasons change, my friend! I found myself today, admitting what I might have done, had fate not clogged the way. And, truly, I have always thought, that much escapes control. Yet, I believed that our designs, had still the stronger role. Belief is like a taproot, buried deep within the soil, only proved by its fair fruit, then, you know its toil. Thus, I hold the bitterness, of failure in my hands, and come to see what that implies, for what's beneath the sands. O faith, why have thou fled me? I never saw the change! Once, I could do anything, and now, all things are strange. My God, I cry out to you, with a servant's dying plea. Teach me how to kill this doubt, give my hope back to me! Written 12 September 2017
