Dooo-Iiii-Nnnnnn-Ggggggg

I stood behind the bathroom door I may have been about three or four I held Mom’s biscuit in one hand I loved to play in Kitty’s sand Grin.. I found a toy mounted on the wall This must be Kitty’s! Then I’d call Kitty, kitty, kitty, come look and see But kitty was busy, ignoring me Frown.. I pulled and pulled, until it sprang Dooo-iiii-nnnnn-ggg, it sang The doggie came running, I pulled again Dooo-iiii-nnnnnn-ggggggg, Dooo-iiii-nnnnnn-ggggggg Dooo-iiii-nnnnnn-ggggggg, Dooo-iiii-nnnnnn-ggggggg Grin.. Sandra Stop! That infernal noise! Get out of that bathroom! Come play with your toys! Leave that doorstop, leave it now! But!..hffa,huffa, Now don’t you pout! Frown.. I grabbed a fist full of doggie hair And plopped in front of the easy chair Kitty came, but I was mad So I hit her, then she scratched me bad! Doggie waited, till I let go Then stole my biscuit! Wouldn’t cha know! I cried and cried, till Mommy came Still at night, that thing,….it calls my name

OMG you must have been a handful! This is hilarious! ~lol~ Thanks for the thoughtful note - wish I could spend some more time here, but got too much to do. I hate this whole process and don't even want to move. Long story. Anyway, hoping things will be easier in about two weeks - before they get insane once again! Missing you too, and I thank you for this morning's smile. Hugs, Shar xoxo

Delightful images (and sounds) of your childhood, Alexandra! Guess you've learned to be more careful playing with those cats and dogs now, eh? Great poem! Love, Carolyn
