Don'T Worry Be Happy and Other Myths

The reinvention of a lost soul A task bestowed onto me With the guilt of another life This seems a truth Of my surrealist endeavours To decipher the undecipherable The thoughts that drifts in through gaps I don't want to taste what was repented Another's sin, not mine I've lived long enough to see I'm this lifetime, started at birth Not before A soul washed clean, with echoes of doubt I carry the burden of guilt and shame From elsewhere I hope that's the truth And my memory isn't playing tricks on me

I believe we carry on a cellular level the hopes,fears,and sins of the ancestors that procreated us into this place.Each playing out upon our lives and any children who then pass it on to the next generation.Mike and the mechanics said it best,every generation blames the one before when all of their frustrations come beating on their door.I know that I'm a victim to all my father held so dear,I know that I'm a hostage to all his hopes and fears.I just wish I could have told him .....

It's certainly an interesting concept as to whether via nurture from generation to generation or in our DNA or soul X I suppose the more you know about ancestors the more clues on whether it's deeper than nurture

On the face of it the truth of course is you started at birth, but I often ponder are we given a clean slate, or is there a reinvention of a lost soul that threads us to a previous cycle, I think the answers lie in the abstract Dilly, well it’s where I’m searching anyway, that other sin you mention is quite difficult to digest if not to taste, brilliant I enjoyed this one, cheers David
