Don'T Leave Me Behind

Remote whispers echo in the night; aspiring for company. Dawn emerges silently thru a tear in my shade. The abating sunrise beckons my breath and eases my soul; but the ache in my heart lingers still. Alone I sit, ignoring daylight; hiding in my shadow. Disregarding what to be true and holding on to complete emptiness. Tomorrow is no surprise it starts all over again without concession; yet today I leave a part of me, unwillingly. Struggling to secure patience eludes me. My mind flits occasionally, determined to evade. Like tumbling stones, I climb to the peek and fall to depths out of control. Loneliness is the word I speak facing days to fulfillment. Promises last forever in eternal space. Captured by emotions your stunning grace.
