Dolphins Tears

Though we can't replace That which has passed Leaving a Door ajar For others to follow May be the light at the end of the tunnel Future escapes into the landscape Loss is lost And the only price the dead will pay Is knowing that the living cared Enough to place their name upon Another birth that ships can sail Beside the Dolphins swimming on the tides of Love The Sea of Soul's in tranquil water's Dream of those the wake has left Above dry land in Blackened Suits With wind burst face crying tears For year's to come and year's to blow The Dolphins swim in the hallowed light Reflecting Oceans back to Black Ashes to Ashes Living Matters To eyes wide shut A thousand leagues in sunken depths Titanic myths and hand slammed blistered rivets End up Sunk Treasure In fish tank window's Closed Like yesterday's newspaper Past Looking through the hour glass

This was so a poignant poem for me to read after all the funerals I've attended recently Christopher I really like these lines in particular "loss is lost And the only price the dead will pay Is knowing that the living cared Enough to place their name upon Another birth that ships can sail -these words touched me deeply as the final funeral we went to last week was of a Lieutenant commander in the Navy:-( hugs Jan xx

Sounds like a Truly Great humble Man Jan Who Probably didn't feel the need to blow his own trumpet and sadly took his best kept secrets and stories to the grave. When I was young I used to drink in the Legion with my Grandad the stories they used to tell were staggering what lives they lived and survived

He was a very humble man Christopher and we learned so much about him at the funeral and that he served on the ark royal and was involved in he arrangements of the funeral of Lord Louis Mountbatten who was murdered by the IRA... some stories we had heard, others were new to us and its only after someone has gone do we learn so much more about them:-( hugs Jan xx
