Dollar's Charm
“In God we trust” … reveals dollar’$ great might
acknowledging every provision Source
Who grants well-being for good work’s delight
with strength to generate bounty resource.
Yet dollar$’ other side shows lurking charm
alluring human nature’s lust for greed
to love money toward perilous harm….
Oh, may we from its fatal deed be freed.
“The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich,
and He addeth no sorrow with it.”* Yes!
Such is Bible verse of heavenly switch
for supplies’ downpour dollar$ can’t address.
Gracious value seen in meeting each need
dollar’$ worth multiplies by kindness glow
toward sharing, helping, giving indeed
surpassing fully-well financial flow.
When asked why in God’s service I remain
My heart replies, “With Him as life’s stronghold
securing me in His joyous peace-reign
I’m paid divine dollar$ of countless fold.”
Proverbs 10:22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
