Doing

We do things we love Do things we hate -- One, for affection: and the other, for fiend necessity, like~ executions and wars… Maybe better, not to confound the two – maybe better, more and less we do?!

Thought-provoking poetry, my friend. Let each of us from the heart, do that we are led to do. If the intent is for the good of ourselves, others, or all of humanity, it will be a good thing we each do. Blessings my dear friend, Bill

Such a powerful reflection, Joe. The contrast you draw between love-driven actions and those done out of grim necessity really hits home. That last line lingers—"more and less we do"—a quiet, profound thought.

Most of us do the same type things...but, perhaps for slightly different reasons. So, is it the things or reasons that count? Maybe, we should throw a few less stones, and start repairing more dwellings, starting with our roofs and the stale echos from our own walls? As the saying goes: If not for the grace of God, there go I. Thank you, Rowena. Blessings my friend.
