Commentary (Other Bible translations use the word carelessly on the coast lands instead of the word safety. Meaning they dwell in careless indifference towards the Sovereign LORD of Israel. It is making reference to all of the coast lands nations and the countries that had not yet either been explored or discovered. It could relate to either/and nuclear warfare or fire balls raining down from God's heavens.
