Poem Of The Day

Dizygotic Twins -POTD

I travel back to a nascent time,
when bairn girl sojourner twins arrived.
Born from their earth mother’s womb, 
embodied by Mother Nature’s bosom.
Goddesses embraced by the Universe.
Dualism beyond the physical world
Their essence of silvery stars, 
sends love’s chemical reactions.
Their beatific smiles so warm and inviting,
and magical thinking inspires all.
Illuminating pure energy that soars from your light,
spreads wildly around, igniting the night.
The delightful bond inside you both, heaven's call.
Qualities, talent, and intuition divine, 
Their existence, always sunshine.
Inseparable even when miles apart 
They're always in each other’s hearts.
You’re always here in mine.

Speaks Volumes November 11, 2023 at 10:43 PM Wow I never look at POTD's Congratulations. This is an amazing poem Anaya. Rings true to me as my sons are dizygotic twins. One looks like my side of the family the other takes after my husband's side in appearance, different as chalk and cheese, always have been, but always have each other's back in times of need. Your poem brings tears to my eyes remembering the times the bond they have shone through. Your wonderful nieces will be lucky to have each other right through their lives. One line in particular really grabbed me,’ Their essence of silvery stars’ - gorgeous. The last few lines are so touching and so true - I’m a twin too! So, this delightful, masterpiece is very poignant. My beloved twin is 15 mins older and unlike dear Inky, we are not identical in appearance but we do have a lot of the same characteristics and I’m so blessed with her. We looked a lot alike and were both musical and extroverts. I went steady with twins my senior year in high school, they always had to have the same thing. Ink Empress November 8, 2023 at 10:21 AM Ah this touched my heart, because i am a twin, i have an identical twin sister who is five minutes younger than me, and we are inseparable and even if we are not physically together we are always connected , and there have been few times weve actually felt each other when somethings going wrong while not together, its a very strong connection, and i cant imagine my life without her, she means everything to me. But we dont like it when sometimes people confuse us, so i have blonde hair and she has black hair. Just so that it would help people to tell us apart; my son calls her “ mummy two” and we are always together we travel together too. But we have very different personalities. She is more of an extrovert.
