Division
Division has taken hold.
Americans have turned against each other.
Willingness to work together dissolves.
As stubbornness and blame destroy respect
For our fellow citizens.
These differences cannot be resolved
Unless ‘we the people’ unite.
We must never forget, we are ‘equal’.
All work to be done can be accomplished.
When we are willing to stop and listen.
When we maintain law and order.
When we sacrifice for our neighbor.
Not you or I is better than the other.
We Americans live here, in the same place.
Where we must find a middle ground.
Let there be not division, but humanity found.
