Distance

there's a gravity between us I don't know what, but I feel its weight it's draining, but I can't show weakness it pulls on, I'm ever closer to my fate disconnected, I'm out of orbit losing to deep space it's me against the universe practically meaningless and simple waste the distance exists where the smile falters and the silence begins who knew it could be so loud in saying so little? the edge of it all is where I stand silent with no words? or distanced into it? alone with myself against everything is there anything that can bridge the rift?

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts on distance through your unique poetic style. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
