Disappearing Fantasy

Gone in a flash is Santa and the tooth fairy Why do we let our fantasy disappear Then take them away from our little ones We are the ones who destroy these fascinations Is it wrong or right to destroy the delight of fantasy We watch television of outer space and sharks that bite We still fantasize with delight but, Santa isn’t real We take away dreams of the youth teaching them It’s not real, why do we not take away our space invaders With the terminator and the Zombie trail of blood Let the little ones be little and the big ones be big STOP, taking away Fantasy If the little ones believe then you should believe Now our children are looking at machines because We have taken their fantasy away
