Dilemma

From the time I can remember, it has been important to me That everyone I meet would like what they see. As time has gone on - - reality I have learned And somehow some of the tides have turned. I believe we are all here to learn or not And sometimes in that process I can get caught Being the one that is left on the outside When another has an issue and chooses to hide. My natural instinct is to reach out And give you the love you need, no doubt. I keep finding myself being shoved away And realize you have to find your own way. Sometimes it is so easy to see for others And at times that would definitely be my druthers Then I would be playing a part greater than myself And your learning and growing would be on a shelf. As much as I love and want to fix Your journey and path I cannot nix. As much as I want to be a friend Right now it is not possible, so my love I send.
